    Is it just me or does Grandeur have negative connotations. Fun fact about Dutch culture; even if you're the richest motherfucker you are expected to behave like everyone else. Being flamboyant or grandiose is considered inappropriate. At least in polite society.

    Not sure how everyone else behaves, the only thing that came to mind was not wasting food. You should read Chrestomanci.

    I get it if it’s so as not to make people uncomfortable. In hs with friends I made a point not to use words I didn’t think they’d understand, so as not to make them uncomfortable.
