To an extent you're correct. There does need to be some sort of governing body (can be weak or strong), however, because otherwise it turns into a free for all where might makes right. -
2017-04-22 at 3:05 AM UTCI don't know, I think it really depends on the city. The last city I lived in, every cop I encountered except for one was a complete dickhead. Then I moved and here they all seem nice enough

2017-04-22 at 3:07 AM UTCI love the government and our fine peace officers and justice system in general. Think about how they take care of us and serve us and bring us all together with our best interests.
It's pretty neat how much the police love us and care about each and every one of us without favor or bias.
Commendable as fuck not to mention our honorable Judges from Municipal to Federal levels who risk their LIVES serving out the order of the law as it is so written, restoring lives, allowing justice to be duly served, judging each and every case with an open heart and always mindful of the defendant's presumed innocence.
It must just break their hearts every time they wrap that gavel and send a man or woman away to the penitentiary. I love and pray for all of our judges and prosecutors. -

Big government or small government we are already in a situation where might makes right. Why does the government has any sort of perceived authority? Because they have a monopoly on violence. If you do something they don't like they'll send the goon squad AKA cops, over. If you resist these goons you will get shot. -
2017-04-23 at 5:12 PM UTCit takes literally zero effort to find a job unless you live in niggerville in which case dealing drugs is always a viable option

The overwhelming majority of jobs either fucking suck or are woefully inadequate relative to the ideal perception most possess before attaining them. -

I never claimed this. Let's go back to the quote:
"When the seconds count, the police are only minutes away"
A slogan or saying could be propaganda even if the people started it, but the thing is that NOBODY SAYS THAT. Not everything that pushes an agenda is propaganda. Which is defined as:
Propaganda- is "information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view".
So does it sometimes take a while for cops to show up? Yes. There are no doubt studies that could be pulled up, but if you've ever had to call the cops in an emergency you know that they don't come fast enough. Fact of life, whatever. It doesn't compare to like, "Mcdonalds chicken nuggets will make your dick bigger."
Climate change denial when done on the commercial, advertising sort of scale, is propaganda. Posters that tell you about the benefits of democracy are propaganda. Those ads on TV showing you how awesome the military is are propaganda.
Saying essentially, "The cops are too slow and guns are good for defense" is not propaganda. It's an opinion. There is no agenda. People say it in protests, they vote for it. That's it. That's where it ends. Opinions are not propaganda unless they are *propagated* with the purpose of influencing others. -

2017-04-24 at 11:49 AM UTCSophie what do you think about the government's role in national defense. This is a big reason why nation states were originally created thousands of years ago and why they still exist today.

Clearly someone did since we're talking about it. You can find it repeated several times in, ahem... second amendment activism promotional material...Not everything that pushes an agenda is propaganda. Which is defined as:
Propaganda- is "information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view".
Well by merit of being a coherent sentence the slogan in question information, and it does seem to be used to promote a political cause and point of view. Is it misleading or biased? I mean I think so, it does nothing to try and address the the actual risk that home invasion represents, opting instead to invoke somewhat uncritical concern. But hey, even if it's not I think we agree truth and propaganda are not mutually exclusive.Opinions are not propaganda unless they are *propagated* with the purpose of influencing others.
And what was the purpose of propagating that slogan in this case? -

Lol
These last few years I've needed money so much, and though I was willing to work, I chose not to for weeks at a time. Months a couple of times. I was always willing to work but grew so complacent inside of my depression that sitting in a chair 14 hits a day not working and doing nothing seemed just fine. Lol
What's my point idk sometimes people just want to jot work , and I get it. We didn't choose to be born!! Fuck you!
