Chiner is the big winner from these sanctions. Russia will just start going east for things it needs instead of west. Instead the West kicks Russia off Visa, Mastercard, McDonalds, etc. but keeps buying Russian natural gas. Is Russia even worse off? It's like the covid shit, more designed for theater and to inflict needless suffering upon ourselves than practical or likely to work.
I'm actually wondering if my cards will even work next time I go to Ukraine if Russia takes over. I mean won't Ukraine get caught up in these sanctions?

An example of how dumb the Americans are is that Microsoft and Adobe stopped selling or supporting their software there. That means that Russians will just pirate even more, or switch to alternatives.
Boeing no longer supporting their planes there - guess what happens. Most western planes in Russia are leased from companies in Ireland, so they are all being returned. Russia will probably just build their own planes, which aren't as nice or reliable or fuel efficient, but at least they can't be cancelled at any minute.
As the saying goes it's cutting off your nose to spite your face.
The new world order has been drawn up, it's Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Saudi, etc, on one side, and the west on the other.

In Ukraine I noticed all the PC laptops come with FreeDOS installed (so basically no operating system). Even the brand name ones, like Lenovo, in big stores like Citrus, even in big malls. I'm not certain why, but I'm guessing it lets the shops knock $100 off the retail price, and people go and install a pirate version of Windows or something. The computers I was looking at are ones that wouldn't run Linux well, so it's not that.

I heard all the chinkies use tether instead of bank transfers nowadays. If you are a Russian chink that travels a lot for business I think it would be better than having to constantly switch currencies every time you cross a border
