It's a game that fascinates me to no end. I have never played anything like it before or since. Truly a classic from the makers of Banjo Kazooie and Conkers Bad Fur Day I am not surprised.

People like to call it a kids game but I played it when I was a teenager and most "kids" I knew back then were playing halo , call of duty or club penguin, not weird garden breeding pinata simulators.

I only have vague memories of playing Viva Piñata when the 360 first came out but I'm fairly certain the gameplay of Pikmin and Viva is really different. Pikmin is closer to a console RTS with your goal in the beginning being resource gathering, puzzle solving navigating your Pikmin over dangerous terrain and attacking monsters. There's almost no raising outside of plucking them out of the ground. I think Viva was more of a god game where you maintained your piñata animal reserve

Conker's bad fur day was truly a masterpiece, never laughed so much as a kid playing that game. The multiplayer was great also.
