2022-02-24 at 2:39 PM UTCalso, I think his appeal to Russian-speakers is at least partially because the hardcore nationalists that hold/held the majority of power in the country are going to eat him alive, and he's desperately trying to find another way out

That could be it. They probably want to fight to the last soldier.
I don't think Zelensky is evil, and certainly not ideological or stupid. He shits on Russia cos he knows he has to, and doesn't really control what goes on in the area he commands (no leader really controls their subordinates).
Meanwhile, serious shit. Were those Russian troops vaccinated with EMEA certified vaccine or did they have confirmed (through PCR) recovery from Covid 19 in the last 6 months? Did they present their QR codes?

absolutely. He's hinted in the past at how little control the goverment has over certain regions (specifically the ones with major RS/Azov/Trident etc. presence). In several cases he's tried to implement the Minsk and Frankfurt (? can't remember the name but it was another one opening dialogue with the LDNR) protocols and gotten completely bulldozed by his own party. He's genuinely tried to work toward de-escalation, but what the fuck is a TV comedian going to do when the entire government is stacked with ultranationalists? -
2022-02-24 at 2:55 PM UTCI almost feel bad for him.
Poroshenko on the other hand was just a massive piece of shit from the start. -

not trying to take the side of the nigger lover but technically an invasion is what happened when putin ordered troops into tge newly independent states he had unilaterally proclaimed.
just like the landing in normandy was called an invasion.
it is what it is. -

It can be unbelievably frustrating dealing with hohols. Some people are fine, but some are just pig ignorant retards who actively work against their own interest.

Good point. They called it "The Invasion of France" or "The Invasion of Hitler's Europe".
It's perhaps how our culture has changed, and words are being used as weapons against us. "Invasion" in 1944 sounded good, in 2022 it's too much toxic masculinity. -

It's fair to argue that by strict definition, but the media and 'intelligence' hysteria has all been about claims that Russia intends to 'take over' all or part of the Ukraine.
So far the extent of the 'invasion' has been exactly what Russia has been warning - if the Ukraine does not ease up on trying to wipe out the breakaway Eastern regions, Russia will stop them (as it turns out, by destroying their ability to wage war). They have not 'annexed' the breakaway regions or any other part of the Ukraine.
As above, I'll admit that the operation is far greater in scope than I expected, but unless Russia actually lays claim to parts of the country I don't consider the prediction to be wrong.
Also Putin didn't unilaterally proclaim the sovereignty of the LDNR, they did that themselves. Russia was just the first country to recognise it. -

you should look into what Cyclone Battalion got caught doing (hint: wariat), and the investigation at the time seemed to indicate it was par for the course with the 'volunteer battalions' -

Yeah, if you fight off an attempted conquest by another country to maintain your borders for 8 years like LDNR did you do deserve to be internationally recognised.
It's more than what most countries have done.
It's more than what Ukraine has done. -

well the media hyped up an "invasion" in its most basic and crude terminology. doesnt really matter what putins motivation or intentions are, by sending troops across the existing ukro-russo border is an act of invasion and played riht into western propaganda machine.
an invasion happened and the most basic "american" like our resident nigger lover and 83% of the western population will agree an invasion had indeed happened.
as propagandized,Also Putin didn't unilaterally proclaim the sovereignty of the LDNR, they did that themselves. Russia was just the first country to recognise it.
its only legit if the anglos are doing it, like during the invasion of falklands. imagine if scottland had won their referrendum for independence but england refused. could ireland unilaterally declare it independent and send troops over ?
would that be legal.
also the area that putin claimed to be "independent" are at least twice as large as what the rebels could organically seize and control without foreign intervention. -
2022-02-24 at 3:37 PM UTCHearing that the Russians are taking Kyiv (or do we start spelling it Kiev now?). They're not bothering with the west of the country.

I seen video of some of them pulling documents from the parliament into SUVs. I assume they're heading west, to Poland, out of the country. They'll tell everyone else to fight on, but they won't fight themselves. It's already over, Russia controls the airspace and can strike anywhere they want any time they want, you can't organise a defence against that. -
