Pulling hills is a bit redneckish but we had fun doing that. try getting out of the way of a 400-500 pound 500cc.
When I first got into competition Honda had turned the moto-x world upside down in March if 1973 with introduction of the Elsinore 125cc and 250cc.They were the first true 2 stroke production class machines designed specifically for moto-x racing. Prior to that they were stripping down the late 60's early 70' single bore 4 stroke Victors and BSAs.
In 1974 the other 3 Japanese manufacturers scurried unsuccessfuly to release competitive models. Suzuki with their RM line, Yamaha with their YZ line, and Kawasaki with their KX line.
My first full sized dirt bike was the 74 KX. There were about 8 or 9 if us that all ride the same woods. The Elsinore, YZ, RM, and KX were all there. I can tell you the KX was the worst. The 73 Elsinore was so far ahead that Honda made no significant changes if any to the 74 line.
I worked all summer and every weekend that winter at my Dad's car wash. Saved my money, and tried the 74 KX 125 for a red 75 Elsinore 250. I was still smoking KX and RM until 79.Yamaha made a significant advancement in 76 with the introduction of the monoshock but a good rider on a 75 Elsinore could still compete with YZ through the 70's.
Man, when I think about it I had a great childhood... -

It's becoming harder and harder to find places to ride. In California, The Desert is about the only place really to ride these days. So yes, those days were great for dirt trail riding and very popular. Plus its a little bit safer than say cartwheeling down a highway on a crotch rocket these fucking idiots are doing. riding racing bikes on highways sounds like great fun and doing close to 200 plus but I hate it when these hoody rat tards try to do sideshows and block off traffic. I will say they almost never get caught. -

I ran into some cat about a year ago around my age who has a 1200 Sporty. The guy is trying to start a non 1% MC. Well the way that shit works is you got get permission from the CoC and whichever 1% chapter owns the territory you want to fly your three pieces in. The guy recruited me hard for 8 months everyone I saw him. I would ride and drink with him and always put him off when it came to patching. You see I'm not a wolf I'm an eagle.
So anyhow he says he wants to ride one day and would it be cool if some of his friends rode with us. He shows up with Shaggy from Scooby Doo riding a mid 70's AMF 883 Sporty, (I think OK not my bike but of it gets him there WTF), and a fat father son duo on rat crotch rockets with no tags. They pull in front of my home in a quiet residential area pulling wheelies and burning rice. I came out and asked where they were headed. They said where but I couldn't have told then what they said as I didn't really care. I told them I'd take tail gunner and follow them. I mounted my Chief, fired it up, pulled into the street, and followed them to the stop sign at the end where it Ts left or right as they ran front wheels up the length of my street. They turned right I turned left and I never saw any of them again. -

Because cruisers and racers don't mix well. one wants to pull back and enjoy the ride and the other one wants to push the limits. -

So far I have buried 7 hatchets. 4 in SpectraL and 3 in FailFaggot's ass. I wasn't keeping track of anyone else's score. Am I winning so far? Are there going to be prizes and awards when the contest is over. Hey Lanny, if I finish in the top 3 can I choose SpectraL user title? Oops, there goes another hatchet buried in SpectraL. Wooo hooo, I'm up by 8 buried hatchets! -

Being nice and being honest are not mutually exclusive. The truth is I have never found you anymore amusing than I did an ant colony on a sunny day with a magnifying glass as a boy. That, much like your fabricated online personality, was nothing more than a time killer while I was looking for something that was worth doing. So yeah, this is me being nice, nice and honest. -

Ok, Mr. Smartypants. If I don't really exist, why are you even conversing with me? Can you answer me that? -
