Hello everyone.
My job went done fucked my face with my own talking dick and didn't disappoint in proving my shit talking to be true.
Today is full on hard core boots on the ground.
That is my plan anyways.
To start, I have an eye appointment to get glasses so I can pass the physical for the job I applied for yesterday.
Then I am going to print out my resume until my printer is out of ink and go distribute copies to every damn place I come across that might be worth a shit.
At some point I'll be heading over to a temp agency to inquire about a job I had lined up last year that I turned down because I thought I had more going on for me than I did.
The vast majority of my day will probably be spent driving from one parking lot to another.
Hopefully I find something to at least keep me afloat for a while or best case scenario I find something I really am interested in and it pays nice nice.
At this point I'll scrape rust off a chain link fence with a heat treated dog turd if it means I don't have to worry about my bills for another month.
Anyways, hope you all have a productive and amazing day.
<3

2022-01-27 at 1:06 PM UTCIt sounds like if you get glasses tomorrow (today) you are set, there are certainly places that will make your glasses same day...though it might be expensive.

2022-01-27 at 1:20 PM UTCGet unemployment and find under the table work until that runs out like every other American.
I've only been out of jail and not been a homeless piece of shit str8 savage junky since 2019 and I'm in college, have my own house, and me and my live in girl [prolly fiance soon if I ever buy an engagement ring], because apparently the other fucking 5 gold/diamond/emerald/wtf ever stone rings aren't engagement enough apparently.
You need to get whatever shitty job u can or bite the bullet and go to a busy city and become a bartender or something because that's thr only way I've been able to make 30-40 N hr with no higher education degree. But I refuse to work in a bar anymore because it's bad for my mental health fr.
You'd probably like college and just go and work on your associates before you pick a major..I mean you can pick one before and work towards it with your associates degree but the mean thing is get that stupid paper so you can get ur bachelor's then you have a better chance of getting a decent paying job.
My brother just got hired out of school for a 80k a year a yr job right out of school. Granted he's a physics major in grad school now but he's only 21.
School isn't even that hard and u could get a fafsfa loan easy peasy and go to a community College where it's only like 5-600 a class and u could have ur associates really quick if u went full time, a little longer for part time but still worth it IMHO.
Basically what I've seen is:
No school = hard labor or food service jobs are really the only way to make a half decent living
School = possibly having a job in a lab or as a paralegal or a lawyer eventually or at least in a desk where I type shit up and have zoom meetings sometimes. Sounds better than fucking every job I've ever had. Plus we are getting older and I've been thinking about my future a lot and I need to get to squirrling away money like a madman now so I can live out my 70-80s-90s in relative peace and luxury without having to worry about money.
Idk maybe I'm an idiot
Well I'm definitely an idiot but that's besides the point. -

Yah I guess I should read the op more thoroughly sometimes although I still would put in an unemployment claim if I were u fona, although they do side with the job a lot of the time. It was easy when covid first happened but now they are being dicks about getting it because everyone was on it lol.
If I were you if put in a claim just incase though. Fuck it. I'd just lie and say they fired you because they didn't like you and you feel like they were planning this for a while because they don't like people like you for some reason and give some examples of why. I always stress that I'm starving and I can't pay my rent and my electric is off, etc etc..just to hopefully pull on the heart strings of those cold hearted unemployment people.
Then whenever they call and have basically a mini court session over the phone with u and the employer and when they say you quit or whatever just firmly tell them you did not quit and your position was terminated as you were not hired for day shift and your availability for day shift at that time was unavailable which left you jobless at no fault of your own. You can't help that the company HIRED you for night shift and then stopped having night shift.
IMHO u are a candidate for unemployment but what do I know -
2022-01-27 at 1:36 PM UTCwhy not just drink and twke the dwy off instead?

2022-01-27 at 1:58 PM UTCFona did you say "I quit"? You could have argued it out and said they were trying to change your contract of employment. They were basically reducing your pay, but what happens if you say "I don't agree to my pay being reduced, I demand the same wage". Then they'd have to fire you? Would you be entitled to redundancy then?

Exactly the grounds I would stand on for unemployment
You'd prolly get it too for that -

LMAO sounds like under the law they can do whatever they want. But isn't that a breach of contract? -

Could be regarded as constructive dismissal. Instead of making employees redundant they cut pay and conditions to force people to quit.
