Indeed! I actually had a thought on the subject of distractions within the last few nights. A lot of planning for the future, if done rationally, is, for me at least, centered around how to best keep myself distracted until I either die/am cryogenically frozen or the singularity arrives. I've long forsaken any childish desires for genuine meaning in life, it's akin to wishing magic were real. That's not the reality we exist in, I've gotten over it.
