    One weird thing about cars eats nobody talks about is they have manufacturers expiry dates on the side of them and you can be fined for transporting a kid with an expired carseat. I can't think of anything else that's fucking plastic with a manufacturer expiry on it what a fucking SCAM

    i know they are not allowed to be used after an accident or if you fall on it,

    but i think they have expiration dates due to car seats sitting inside cars going through heat cycles from the sun and the plastic gets more brittle overtime.
    not sure how accurate this is or how truthful, but i can see why it could be an issue.. if it even is an issue

    salt itself does not expire, but the anti-clumping ingredients they add to commercial salt does expire.

    This is the reason. The constant heat cool cycles, damage from sitting in the sun, and potential fatal design flaws that had since been fixed.

    Also, if anyone is curious: There's no actual law saying you can't use an expired car seat per-say.
