2017-04-15 at 2:19 AM UTCAsbestos. as hard as that is to believe. I must of been exposed to it. Pops with his overalls coming back from the iron workers yard packed with asbestos dust. or the time my work started busting into the ceiling to renovate. the building was built around 1959 and cotton looking white shit came down.
I started developing lung problems about 10 years later. the doctor did a high res CT scan and found I had scaring. asked if I grew up in a town that mined asbestos. if you ever walk into a mine shaft you can see it sticking out of the dirt. it looks like cotton fibers or a lantern wick in it's natural form. feels like canvas.
they have little barbs that hook on your lungs and you can't cough them up.. they scar tissue then kill the cells in your lungs causing you to develop cancer. it can take anywhere from 10-50 years.
that or I'll shoot myself or jump off a fucking building. -
2017-04-15 at 7:35 AM UTChey, I've gotten to enjoy asbestos exposure too! It was minor exposure for short periods, and the ole liver will almost certainly kill me first, so I'm not too concerned.

Lanny.. what do you mean Minor? like you installed brake pads or you worked in removal ? it only takes a few exposures to the dust to cause damage. -

Like I worked in a building that had aesbestos insulation on some pipes in the basement. Only went down to the basement like twice.

How did you expose yourself to asbestos?/just saw you last post never mind.
Me I've eaten tons of that shit, brakes, clutches were all made of asbestos up until the early 80's.
Then they just changed the name to ALL ORGANIC compounds LOL.
I think that if I didn't work hard everyday I would have died 10 years ago. -
