   Which is exactly why they have never been conquered or even had a proper nation that lasted any amount of time. Fundamentalism is probably the best bet for them because it's a lot easier to unite 5600 tribes if they all face towards Mecca when they pray
   
   Communism is also pretty good at just yeeting the bullshit like culture, language, custom and religion because THAT SOUNDS ANTI PARTY TO ME, it works pretty well for China.

   I know Vietnamese people I grew up around them. They are the main Asian ethnic group in Canada. If you are ever a child in a canadian school go grab the attendance list and there is AN ENTIRE FUCKING PAGE of Nguyen. The chink, moslem and white kids are just a blip in the radar to the gigantic blocks of Vietnamese family names on the page. Maybe it was just the area I lived.

   They are very culturally distinct even in their communism and basically everything about them even if they got conquered by China it would never happen. I don't know how Asians can be so distinct in their tiny land slivers but it's pretty impressive to me.
