This is decent, though there are a few errors and omissions. Sophie has told the story well a few times.

Hey listen. this isn't off topic but you realize the background is copyright/trademarked?

that was a custom made seamless tile wallpaper. So if Lanny is able to use it, I want to use it on my website.. even though it's not totse related per sey .. I came up with a different acronym when it popped in my head. like a lightbulb going off for artistic expressionisms.

I think I'll be placing it on my webpage which is totse3.com since no one else wanted it.. the magical acronym just popped in my head and well.. I am a former member of totse (not related to my website) but I think the background is pretty too. so yeah. maybe I'll use it. or maybe I'll modify it. You don't mind do you Lanny?

PS is it expressionalism or expressionism?

    hmm

Anything you'd like corrected or added? I joined totse in 2008 so anything before that is just rumors to me and I don't know much about the sites that ran parallel with zoklet/sanc/rdfrn so if you have better dates or facts I'm open to suggestions.

It should still be under copyright although I have exactly zero idea who holds it. My guess is it was grabbed off whatever did what deviantart does at the point Jeff started the web forum. It's fine by me if you use it, but that doesn't carry any legal weight. Personally I'm not too concerned about legal action, it's pretty much blood from a turnip since there is no revenue stream and I'm not sure what damages you could claim that totse and zoklet haven't already done.

Reading it again, it's pretty good. I was referring mainly to the Exodus and Latter Days. There are a few details that could be added, but it gets the overall gist.

I do know that totse2 was created the day of the announcement of the closing of totse. You mentioned administartion unknown, so not sure if you needed that tidbit or not.

There were some site / software / administrative things that went down within totse2, sanc, and fern, but that would be a bit in the weeds for an about section. Same with LLZ, though that's for lulzy.

Hey what up lanny. Remember that time we almost met up at the SF Academy of Sciences but then at the last minute you texted me that you were a dude and then I ditched you and got laid instead. Lol.

So this is your site huh. Pretty cool. What's it take to become a mod around here

Anyway, what's your story? Tell us a little about yourself for faggots like myself who joined in the late zoklet era. Are you familiar with sanctuary or rdfrn, out of curiosity? Who do you recognize here besides spectral? Thank you.

Those are Russian dolls. Russia is not part of the Orient.

You joined totse in 2008? I joined in 2006 and thought you were already a mod there. Or am I thinking of zoklet? Were you a mod on zoklet? Damn, I'm all sorts of confused. The ~8 years I spent between totse and zoklet are a complete blur.

Man, so many old posters showing up, this is wierd but nice.

I was a mod on zoklet, never on totse. Makes sense, I remember reading your posts on totse when I was just lurking while registrations were closed in early 2008.

Okay, I do remember that. I had stock piled accounts before the closure and was handing them out to peoeple on other forums. Mostly bobsled's forum notse (I think that's what it was called). In hindsight I should have charged for them...

    I joined around 1993ish.

had a slow dialup and though I wasn't apart of NirvanaNet
I ran a WWIV BBS software until I found out what a "Dump site" was. then I pulled it offline. people were filling up the hard drive with stupid shit.

I think the original totse was wildcat bbs software that was modfied.
I was trying to run a RIPTERM board with a few others but it had quirks and limitations. trying to write string line-commands was a challenge. I guess that was sort of a form of coding.

I wish I learned more in computer class in the early 1980s and stayed with it all these years. some of these original guys went on to running some very prosperous startups. coulda-shoulda-woulda. When i'm done with this shortstory script I am going to try and self teach myself this. You guys in your 30s-pushing 40s had it way easier. the Cintons made sure all of you would get the ability to study coding and computer science in the 1990s while it was far more advance then what we had.
