- busy intersections for when the inevitable smash-up-derby happens
- the waterslide at a waterpark for when the inevitable titty flash

Film everything in Black and White after Color. People say "Just remove color" fine. Just film everything in Color. Top of hillsides looking down.
Number one rule in a midshot. Kneecaps to forehead or bottom of shin to forehead. never film feet unless it's a shot such as running, jogging, bed scene (footsie) or foot injury. This makes the scene much more dramatic. Closeup.. Mid-waste to Forehead. it's common to cut the top of the head off in a shot. right at the hairline. If the subject moves, move with the subject. Position everyone in their block (x) to stay in sync with the antagonist or lead. This means positioning people by height so they all appear the same height but you can still see distance between them by the lack of continuity in their limb sizes.
Yet it is always best to make sure you filming has continuity. Make sure if you paused for weeks, that facial hair and hair position is the same and same length. make sure there isn't an added extra part of clothing such as a scarf. make sure if a tie is losen, it's not tighten or missing all together. Seems like an obvious, but people make these fucking mistakes always. it is also good to use different endings to sequences because you may change your mind.
Always use a shotgun mic over an omni directional (obvious to most). A shotgun mic can record in omni or bi directional modes for left and right, but you can always post edit in left right sequence and layered sound-over, voice-over. a shotgun must stay consistent with the range finder always showing the same. you can use different frequencies to enhancement out background or even foreground (breathing or talking behind the camera).
And once again.. Continuity and good audio.
and one more thing. Never get angry and throw the camera down.
