the fact is...no real cop will let anyone under arrest into the back of their car without being searched thoroughly. any cop that would cuff someone, then seat them in the back of the car, and not have completely searched them...should not be a cop.

I had a lighter, pack of cigs, wallet, and phone.
Kept all of them. He even let me smoke a cigarette before putting me in the back, plus he let a woman that works at the store where I pulled over move my truck so it wouldn't get towed because we knew each other.
Any cop that treats a respectful dude with a little decency is probably doing his job better than 90% of the rest of them. There are no violent crimes on my record. No DUIs. Clearly, I wasn't the kind of person that would set his shirt on fire in the back seat because he caught a petty little misdemeanor driving on suspended.
