Everyone knows this...it's to prevent serious illness and death...at no point have I heard anyone say it's to stop you catching it.
I never used to get the flu shot till I got flu one year and was so sick with it I didn't even have the strength to get out of bed to piss...I've got the flu shot every year since then.
...same idea with covid...I don't want to be deathly sick if I get it...a few sniffles is fine. -
