The moral of this story is not to put all your dry ice in one package.

Put some away in yur buttz!

Or just return to a UPS store bc the workers there dont give a single fuck. Call Amazon a mon5 later, show ur receipt, say the workereither stole ur item or mixed up the tags.

The box would need to be insulated lest someone freeze their goddamn hands off handling your package (bazinga) and I'm pretty sure dry ice weighs about as much as... you know... fucking *air*, so this seems pretty stupid. Also CO2 buildup could theoretically cause harm to someone in a cramped truck and wouldn't it just be great getting charged with terrorism or some shit for accidentally gassing a deliveryman and giving him a headache.

Cut the cats off the delivery trucks and mail it to amalzon and say I ordered a 90 inch tv but all u got was this stupid box full of cats and then sue the delivery driver cause he's doing pollution and even write up a report and send it to head quartets

it's fun when you touch it with wet hands and it sticks and you're screaming like hell for someone to get some warm water to keep the chemical burn from damaging the hand (or frost bite)

This. Packages get delivered to the wrong place all the time, and sometimes kids take shit.

Anyway, every time I've had to make a return they've checked to make sure it's the right product "as a courtesy"

It's perfectly with in their right to do so. You have to agree to it. They're not going to check it later on without your permission.

Thats like buying car insurance without at least a photo of the cars current condition or the vin number as well as the registration.

"Hey, that car you gave me insurance on and never asked proof of it's existence, yeah.. it got stolen. Yeah it was rare and uhh. I paid like 20k for it. When can I expect to see my check in the mail?"

Where? California. And I didn't have a history of this. Sometimes they swirl the package and ask "is there packing material like bubble wrap". If it's insured they can use that as a reason to check so the item is secured properly.

You're a fucking retard, no one at the PO is opening sealed boxes to check the contents. Have you ever shipped anything?

I have had it asked many times. They ask you if your items are secured properly and ask to look inside. I have no problem and as a matter of fact, if Im insuring it, I know they saw it.

the UPS store does it as well. Both UPS and USPS have done this. and If im sending something more than 50-100 bucks in value, I pay the insurance. sometimes I just let them throw bubble wrap in for me so I dont have to go finding newspaper to do it.

Again, I'm not saying they will force open a package on you. they will ask to look in the boxes if they feel it's not secure or if the value is above 100 or 50 or some shit. Is it a California thing? I dont know. and its in my best interest for them to look so they have to pay.

I've sent and received THOUSANDS of packages and the only ones that were opened were international ones (for customs) or ones where the package was damaged in transit and had to be resealed.

They have xray machines to look inside suss packages...it's 2021.
