the reason the standard vaccines (MMR and pals) are mandatory is to maintain herd immunity - at around 70%, enough of a population is immune that at-risk people (ie. people who cannot be vaccinated or the vaccination does not confer immunity) face a near-zero chance of exposure to a virus. this is because almost everyone who they come into contact with is unable to transmit it to them.
if you're talking about a 'vaccine' that only reduces the symptoms - does not prevent incubation and transmission - contributing to herd immunity is impossible. the vaccination only benefits the individual, so what justification is there for it to be state-enforced?
The real problem is there's too many dumbed-down stupid people out there who don't even have the mental capacity to process the truth of what you just explained. Why should I be allowed to manufacture my own vaccines and ivermectin? All those chemical are dangerous and could be misused to make explosives or drugs! You need a degree to do that! and licenses! and to afford that I would need investors... it's stupid to dream big. Better to dream small and get a STEM degree like my mom and become an analytical chemist at a big name corporate pharmaceutical company... and then maybe 10..15 years I can move up to be ASSISTANT of the lab stock room... and then the big bucks roll in!
