I am not against paying a monthly fee to have a private company take my trash every week.

I live in a bedroom community that has many large houses with large families. Nevertheless, everyone gets charged the same for trash pick up. We get three very large receptacles (trash, yard waste and recycling). My last bill was over $72 for 3 month's service or $24/month. I never use the recycling and maybe use the yard waste once or twice a year. I use my riding lawn mower to chop up fallen leaves and have a wood pile for fallen branches. I rarely put the trash out more than once a month (usually less often even as the large receptacles can hold 3-30 gallon trash bags) and am having to pay $24 (or more) for one single pick up. They do offer a 10% discount to seniors that requires a trip to city hall to sign up for that I haven't gotten around to yet, but still...damn...$24 for their truck to drive by once a month and extend it's pick-up arms to the containers I have hauled to the curb seems a bit steep especially when I see others with all three containers out week after week overflowing and even extra cans out. I can knock a whole $9.60 off my yearly bill by signing up. I better hurry!

you just wait until they start incinerating your trash to turn it into electricity youll be charged for and you STILL will be paying that garbage pickup fee.

    only when your caught.

or you can juat compact your trashes. piles of used plastic bags can be heated up with either a heat gun of maybe boiling water into a lump of solid plastic no bigger than your fist.

boxes and other food packagings can be folded. open both end of cans and they can easily be flattened.

As a matter of fact there is. I can't remember but there is a Liter capacity on the bags and I think the limit isn't even a "bag limit" but a Liter of trash limit so they determine 6 bags per week is X amount of liters and you are supposed to work out how much you put out, or something. And they said no more giant bags

You should go to government house and photograph how much trash they are producing every week...I guaran-damn-tee it's more than the limit..if they even have a limit.

government buildings are probably zoned in a way where they have unlimited trash pickup and on demand mobile shredding to cover up their corruption paper trail

the lower the average iq of a society, the higher the volumes of their trashes.

yeah. I have fallen behind on my recycling and have a closet filled with paper liquor bags and amazon boxes. I put the boxes in boxes but there is a lot. Trying to get on the recycling groove but there is no recycling bin for my building

Every building around me has them but mine uses bags on the curb for some reason and there are very specific rules about how to separate it. I just throw all the cardboard shit in garbage bags. Also ontario is a retard province where you can't take back soda bottles for deposit so I throw those in the trash too.

I'm surprised nobody caught my math mistake.
    $72 x 4 times a year = $288/year. I would save almost $30 a year with my 10% discount. I really should hurry!
