2021-07-16 at 9:16 PM UTCmy fire alarm needs to be plugged in to the "system" but to do that requires plugging it in to A PLUG ON THE CEILING and TURNING it.
Why the fuck would you ever turn a plug. it's too fucking retarded so I just unplug it and keep it in a drawer
apparently thats ILLEGAL though but TURNING PLUGS IS A BAD IDEA why the fuck would you ever turn a plug it makes no sense
The holes are static and wires should not turn and bend in on themselves and have tension, it doesn't take a physicist to see how that will turn out
Static prong + static hole + TURNING FORCE = bent prongs, risk of fire, sudden death, etc
The alarm in the building constantly goes off and they have a detective force to track it down. They narrowed it to my floor and are closing in on me. I refuse to turn plugs though I am not stupid
I know exactly what will happen if I start turning plugs. I do not want to live in a post turned plug world
Fire alarms work just fine without needing to be plugged into "the system" into a ceiling socket and turned. According to society i'm crazy but I think i'm the only sane one left.
here is proof i'm not totally insane
nobody in the history of the universe has ever had to turn a plug. It's not a thing that should ever happen but for some reason it's happening to me. -
2021-07-16 at 9:21 PM UTCseems like a great idea to TURN really short wires and put tension on them, why didn't I think of that. putting a sideways turning force on something plugging into an upwards socket with short wires
when you turn it the plug just comes out so you have to line it up properly. Basically just hope the plug doesn't pop out as you turn it.
Very safe
That's what I like to do when I install safety devices is hope they work, shake the rain stick and do a blood sacrifice to moloch

2021-07-16 at 9:24 PM UTCalso plugging something into a socket and PUSHING UP ON IT with wires pushing against you just dislodges the plug and knocks it out of the place constantly. The answer is not plugging it in or just trying it enough times and getting lucky until it works.
I am not lucky so it never works for me.
i've been trying for months -
2021-07-17 at 12:13 AM UTCtwist the wires until the coating is off

2021-07-17 at 12:23 AM UTCit had a plug with a tab but the tab doesn't click into anything and the plug is universal so i'm pretty sure the original compatible alarm has been switched out long ago. This shit is fucking retarded
