Where in Australia should I spend winter in?

   It's winter here south of the equator, and I'm cold. I work from the internet, most of my shit is already in storage. I think I might fuck off to AU for a couple of months.
   
   Where should I go? Not Melbourne or Sydney - I'm straight.

   Be warm, sunny, and chillout. Doesn't need to be anywhere to exciting, but I don't want it to be some dump for poor people either. Part of the charm of Australia for me is how much wealthier everyone is there (even though the cost of living is lower). I like soaking that up.

   Cairns
   Gold Coast
   Perth
   Adelaide
   
   Not considering Syd/Melb as mentioned. Also Hobart is practically in NZ, fuck that.

    Cairns or the Gold Coast are probably what you're after but it's probably not going to be much less cold and grey than NZ at the moment
