Things back to normal here in North Kadoty. Mask mandate lifted a while back and restaurants/bars/venues are quite packed. Large gatherings, live music, etc. all getting back in the swing of things just in time for summer. 🤩🤩

I miss the theater. even though I said I may not have to go to a theater with my home projector, it's not the same.

plus it's not that great of a projector. I'm waiting for the 8k lazer ones to come down in price. they're bad ass. they project underneath but are like OLED quality but probably better.

but I really like going to the IMAX and sitting in the very front row where no one sits and stare up at boobies and butts. I still have not been to an IMAX 3D film yet. most films in 3D now are 3D animated which makes 3D glasses a bit overkill. 3D/3D is just stupid

I was telling Waluigi how fucked up but kind of troll funny to have this on the side of a highway displaying a classic TOTSE "GET FUCKED" messages or even worse some racist shit. watch it be a thing when they come down in price to a few hundreds. you know people will be finding walls to display shit on the side of buildings. you could do it with a shitty 1080p standard but it would require a horizontal projection.

watch it be a thing in the future

Projectors will always have inferior contrast and image quality. I'd sooner pay a madman to chop my johnson off with a rusty pair of garden shears than buy (another) projector.

laser projectors. 8K. Theater quality (for smaller theater screens of 600 inches I believe)

first true home theater. and Projector Graffiti I coined first. Right here on NIS. actually someone else coined it and wrote "Fuck you" on the side of a building. but it wasn't a movie projector but a pen laser projector. this will be moar betterer

When you were a kid, dont you remember the promises of Home Theaters before TVs became Wide Screen and 80 inches? a 75 inch 4K is like 650 bucks at Target right now for a TLC chinese brand.

I wanted a room with a projector room behind a wall and real stadium seating with leather recliner chairs. i guess it's not worth building even on a budget with quality going up. might as well just buy a fucking 32 inch and sit close to it

projectors are why hundreds of millions go to the theater each and every year.

Well no, the reason they go to the theatre is for the whole theatre experience...the chance of getting some action from the girl you are taking, the shared experience with others, the 3D surround sound, the $8 soda, the sticky carpet and semen soaked seats...etc, not simply the projector

...or you can stay home, have mostly the same experience if you buy an 80 oled TV and nice surround sound system...and have a pause button.

    Movie theatres are obsolete.

Again, projectors will always have inferior contrast and image quality compared to a Modern TV...they also rely on a screen (to get best image quality)...if you are putting a screen up you might as well put a OLED TV up in the same spot.

the thing is no, projectors in cinemas dont have inferior contrash ratio.

contrast ratio is determined by the darkness of your room and the color of your wall/screen. inferior setup and/or cheap, miser-class projectors beget inferior contrash ratio.
