Blocking license plate readers

How to do it? I’ve read that they just scan for anything that looks like a license plate so these covers may actually work. But they also make some kind of spray that’s like $40 a can and I’m sure it’s something else you could probably get for $2 that they just relabeled. It’s supposed to stop it from being photographed or recorded too though.

Maybe other ideas about how to just fuck with them?

There's two types of scanners: IR and flash.

I’m guessing the infrared is the one tricked by the spray? What’s more common? I knew you niggers were still good for something.

Mythbusters did a show on it and proved the spray doesn't work on either IR or flash. Best bet is going to be the license plate flipper, which is about $200.

Those things look badass. It wouldn’t really solve the issue of the plate readers as you’d still have to clone one or something to have legit looking plates that wouldn’t alert it.

Why not just not do illegal stuff

I heard a bowed plate reflectors covers were used on plates because the toll booths use ir enhancements to see at night, but you could do something constructive like take a drive, get out, walk for an hour then call your mom

For the flash type it’s easy.
Get reflective tape, whatever color you need, and cut it to fit the letters/numbers of your plate. So when the flash goes off, it reflects and over exposes, making your plate unreadable.

    For traffic/speed cams
There are also clear lenses you can put over your plate that blur your plate, when the picture is taken at any angle other than looking straight at it.

and you can get arrays of free, high powered IR leds from old and discarded cctv cameras.

mount them along side your plate lights and the plate will be too bright for IR cameras to capture.

They sell ir floodlamps at big5 for security camers and hunters. Im sure they would work, but when you pass a toll booth there is a cop watching the red light given that you passed without it registering it. Saw it on morning news. The fine probably doubles for evasion

No. They dont have toll collectors anymore, you drive through but they have chp watching for plates that have reflectors and i believe a special light is put in that flashes red on the back end for the cops to see which lane. They then pull people over now. This is why paper temp plates where enforced.
