   Cops look for those on trucks at truck scales (Highway Patrol). Its a known trick truck drivers did even before ai camera existed when a truck driver would pass a scale and the spotter at a scale would radio in the fake plate while the truck driver would release the cable so the cops would be tricked into looking for another truck.

   No, the cops see a red flash on the back of the building of the toll booth and will see the car they go after. The thing is, today they just send a bill in the mail if you dont have fastpas. Its not worth a 600 dollar or more ticket trying to fake out a free toll.

   I know someone that got pulled over for having one of these. And the cop flat out told him, I wouldn’t have known you had it at all, but the plate got stuck half way (didn’t perform the full flip like it was supposed too) and then they proceeded to throw the book at him.
   
   And because the car had a plate on it that didn’t match the car, they were like, oh is this car stolen? Now we need to search everything and everywhere inside. To try and figure out who the owner is.
   They just used that to find more shit to pin on him.

   Sounds like the real problem there was he didn't install the flipper properly or bought a cheap and shitty one.
