The guy was always contradicting himself, saying one thing and then later changing the story like how he said his first time seeing this one band was with his dad at 17 then later said it was with his friend at 14.
He was a habitual liar but his mental illness definitely had a major role in it.
The guy literally believed his dad worked for this one tech company and couldn’t understand why he was a deadbeat rapist loser.
He was a sorry case of stupidity mixed with brain damage. -

Sounds like a lot of bumbling alcoholics ive known. Most people wouldnt have the patience to kill someone this way but itd be pretty effective and difficult to trace if the person is a drinker.
Especially a heavy drinker. Youd have to dose them somewhat regularly for a while i think but inhalation or skin contact would probably work aside from ingestion. Been thinking of a way to fire a small projectile that disentigrates when it nears the target so they inhale or come into contact with a dust or mist. Could be remotely activated near a place the person normally goes every day.
Maybe activated with a laser or specific radio frequency.

Edit; another benefit is accidental exposure to these wont kill the assassin since it must be done over a period of time. Certain microbes also produce thiaminase which the target could be accidentally exposed to at some point.
My favorite ones dont kill the person immediately but death is guaranteed after about one to five years. These often look natural and can be made to look more natural
