It's one of if not the best controller ever made in the history of video games, and it's decently priced.

The buttons are low quality, it's like a wiimote basically, too much pointless stuff and way overpriced, and you can't even get a wired version for easy hookup to a PC so you need some bluetooth dongle or some shit.

Theres a reason the PS5 controller copied the design of the 360 because EVERYONE (except sony fanboys like cocknose) hated the ps4 controller, its universally regarded as trash which is why they gave up on it.

DS4 is objectively better than the shitbox 180 controller and the only people who would say otherwise are obese hemen with massive gorilla hands.

either company is just as bad

you can get a DS2/DS3 dxinput driver, from memory it has some licensing issues with sony so it can't be packaged with windows

yeah whatever fuck micro$oft but they spent the money making the controllers many years ago and are completely removed from the supply chain. They made millions of controllers and the reason third party people always buy pallets of them is because they always sell, there are lots to go around $30 each USB just plug in your computer, instant OS recognition and you can play any game.

I like ease of use so i go with that.

C:\WINDOWS\system32 needs to be writable. It is read only as default.

Click on "Input Device" > "Configure device mapping" and there select your controller and click "Configure", to assign yaw, thrust etc. to the stick.

I did that but it doesn’t detect any input

Then your C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder is read only and the config file inside can't be written to.

Make the system32 folder writable and then press the round "Playstation" button in the middle of the controller while hitting "Detect" in Control Panel->Game Controllers->Properties and then try it again.
