from the evidence given I don't think Chauvin's actions led directly to his death, even if they were irresponsible or unnecessary.
there's a case to be made for manslaughter, but murder is insane and I can't imagine it not being overturned on appeal. -

yeah, he refused to stay in the car and any restraint technique was likely to have had a similar effect. the only other option would've just been to let him run wild, in which case he probably would've died anyway and it would've been funnier.
