how is it a dispute if you willing knowingly ahead of time defraud a dtore or bar. like if you run a bill knowing later you will pretend thr card was stolen while on video or with proof you were there how is thwt not fraud? you willingly knew ahead of time what youre gonna do. thats fraud.

Because whether you willing know something is right or wrong has zero bearing on whether you can dispute it or not ...dummy.

Same as pleading not guilty in court...even though you know the truth...it's the courts responsibility to PROVE their case against you...pleading not guilty itself is NOT a crime...it's a challenge to the court to prove their case.

A dispute is a challenge to the credit card company and business that filed the credit charge to prove their case/charges.

it doesnt work thwt way though. you can lie all you want and say oh i wasnt there or oh i forgot but once they have video footage or evidence those excuses wont work in the court of law. you know nothing about the way it works do you? thats like syaing assnage can dispute wikileaks and claim he accidentwlly hacked the system or someone send him th files . doesnt mean it will work.

how do u fink they get people for stealing bicycles. anyone can say oh i didnt know it was stolen someone sold it to me so how do you hear of these peoples arrests in california all the time? and why does the law in california exist that says receiving stolen property when anyone could say oh i didnt know it was stolen?

and just because you can dispute something doesnt mean the cops cant put a cas eon you and you still have to hire a lawyer wnd waste your days going to court every few months.

never mind. I have experienced this as well. You should pay for a credit lock program. its usually 10-20 a month depending on who does it for you. they lock it so no one can pull a fico or open a credit card on you

Its called ID Theft as well. Its called Grand Theft if the charge is above 900 dollars collectively (used to be 250 before that but they raised it)

and its a bitch to proved unless the persons face is on a camera using the card in the act of the fraudulent use and even if that happens. Shit often goes missing. cops hate doing follow-ups unless they know the person and want to nail the fucker. there is also a shit load of corruption in the system where this shit has ties into large gangs which often these days have cops as former members getting kick backs.

there are multiple criminal charges that can be done. but collection agencies show up years later. sometimes up to 7 years later. and they dont do anything for you to pull 7 year old video that almost surely doesnt exist at a hotel or a store for security to pull up. even though it seems simple to do by date. go to date and pull video at exact charge moment. do you know how much video data take on a hard drive. even with a codec? its adds up. its massive and its usually recorded over after a certain amount of time or stored away and even hard drives can corrupt after time. especially non-flash system. they are magnetic just like the old tapes and corrupt easily.

People dont help people out. and stores fear that they may be responsible for a charge back so they're not going to waste their L&P time to look for you. unless a court demands it. and we know the courts will say the burden is on the consumer. which is why we all hate the fucking banking system. the courts side with them 99.999% of the time

Honestly, I have to pay a credit protection agency to help repair my credit. we're paying for more and more shit the bank should offer. and they do offer these with people who put in 25,000 or more into an CD account. but most people have 5,000 or less in their accounts.

Its why I dont want to pay for cable tv. for the electric companies minimum 25-50 a month (depending on were you live) for hookup even if you dont use power, you have to pay for the hookup monthly) for the water company hookup which I think is 15-20 regardlees of water. Gas is the same, yet PG&E is usually one fee for electric and gas but not all states have that since its Paciic coast region.

over and over. property tax, sales tax, income tax, bank fees, making it nearly impossible to pay cash at many places unless its a Bodego and their running shit out of the back of their store. Fees. must have a bank account or its a fee. I been hearing they want to charge on the clipper card an extra fee which the card is free as of now.

for 40 years the local train station had free all day parking. when I got kicked out of my house by Wifey, they started charging 50 cents a day. went to a dollar in the first year. I didnt mind because it was cheap (though in order to pay, you had to pay for it while taking a train which is a minimum of 5 bucks) but then it went to 3 dollars and its at like 5 or 6 now. 40 years no fee to park. they charge like 3 bucks for fastrak toll fees if you dont have a fastrak responder on you through the mail to your house. these might seem small but they're prep'n us to accept all fees. a letter cost 50 cents now? 3 bucks to have their machine type, fold, mail, and pre-auth stamp envelope is maybe 75 cents in machine wear and tear. the Government thinks it's a corporation now and the taxes we pay dont pay for these services. they're just fees for being an American

many banks are starting to charge 50 cents a transfer fee. I transfer money from uber pay to my checking every night when I do work and it cost me 50 cents each time. they used to charge 2 bucks but the state came down on them for charging more for the bank. these might seem small now, but in a cashless society everything will have a fucking surcharge fee on it.

The one that gets to me is Covid19 prevents me from entering a State clerk office (or county) and I have to pay for some certificates like birth, death to prove to some attorney for something accident that didnt include me and they charged me 3.50 cents for the processing (private company) and another fucking .50 cents for the clerks office. WTF? Covid19 costed me a fucking surchage

that is a silly misnomer. if someone has their serial numnber stamped in the bike still or has a GPS on it, it makes it easier for the person owning it to be holding stolen property. but usually that person just gives the bike up. or the person goes to court and says I purchased it at a flee-market and the judge will decide if they're full of shit. This is why people who have a history of stealing things, especially bikes would almost have a real chance of being believed if they IN FACt purchased a bike at a flee-market even if they had a receipt showing they purchased it. so a judge would not believe them regardless.

nothing is black or white. depends on the judge you see and the defender’s skills and the day the judge or defence woke up and how much case loads they have in front of them. the system by far is NOT PERFECT.

AI sounds insane to have robots judge people fairly because they can in fact be program or hacked to give certain advancements to certain groups (Soros or the programming community) but in all honestly, It would for the most part be way more fair than humans. not saying Judges are all corrupt but they might have a bad day they dont realize made them chose differently.

A dispute isn't a lie stupid...it's a dispute...and YES it does work that way. You can dispute anything..the burden of proof is on the accuser. A dispute forces the accuser to prove their "case".

Feel free to find me one case where someone was locked up for pleading not guilty or in this instance...disputing credit card charges
