   I know what an ISO is coz you burn ISO images to install linux and tails etc. But where would be best to get the ISO from? What about the key? Is the key the same as the EOL license?

   It's pre-activated because when a business buys 100 computers nobody has time to enter all the license codes. So it's tied to the hardware, that's why i asked whether it ran Win10 originally. If it did, EOL license will sort you out without bothering you for the license key.

    I bought one off ebay UK this weekend for $3.30. Ebay takes them down pretty much as soon as they go up (they are slower at it on UK Ebay though that's why I go there for them).
    
    I got the key, 10 mins later ebay took down the ad, I got a message from paypal saying "You're payment has not been claimed as the user is no longer a registered user, do you wish to cancel the transaction?"
    
    Duh yeah...so I got the key for free.
