Technical press will always be better, because people need accurate information. For instance the Wall Street Journal is a rag, but it isn't quite as excessive with the bullshit as other newspapers, because the people who read it need facts and objectivity to base their decisions on.
No one who reads the NYT or Time or Newsweek actually needs accurate information, so feeding them bullshit is a victimless crime. -

heaily tweaked out and not obeying simple commands got him in that legal [or was] neck position... it was his spracked out behehavior that caused his already-fucked heart to flat line -

It wasn't his heart. It was strangulation, which caused the heart damage. You'll notice the official coroner's report did not even mention the neck but did mention bruising on the face/shoulders/chest. Looking at the footage, it's pretty fucking clear this dude had his knee on Floyd's NECK for 9+ minutes.
Why didn't the original coroner report (done by the police dept Chauvin works for) mention this damage?
What drugs he took didn't matter. Chauvin did not handle this well. They had 3 or 4 dudes and could've easily restrained this dude in a different way. It would help if police actually had a federal standard for training instead of every police department basically deciding to teach officers whatever the fuck they want, then giving them powers.
You know, like other professions do?
Again, no way Chauvin gets out of this. If anybody wants to make bets I will. -

Don't you think you should be able to 'fuck around' without getting tazed, beaten, or even strangled to death like George Floyd?
Cops in other countries do not just immediately taze or whip out their guns. Weapons are only used when others present weapons. Floyd was unarmed. They searched him already. What would've happened if they let him up when he was begging and saying he couldn't breathe? Worst case scenario is that they get punched or some shit. Maybe he runs away. Either way its better than someone losing their life.
Seriously, modern police are so fucked up. If you showed the founding fathers a police officer from 2021, they would think they were a soldier. -

2021-03-11 at 7:08 PM UTCIn most of my dealings with police they've pulled guns, but no i'm not on the side of some idiot who decided to physically struggle with forces that can muster more violence than they can hope to match and who's job is Enforcement of laws you hold to be gospel. A smart person wouldn't get caught, an honourable one would accept the consequences of their actions.
But yea police are kinda fucked up, they deal with fucked up shit day in day out too. It probably wears on them.
But yea no sympathy, if "you can fuck around" without any consequences, legal or otherwise then how would police enforce the law? with stern words?
Then again I had my ride disappeared on me by Them in an extra-legal way, but had i not made bad choices i wouldnt have confronted this aspect of society.
