Sophie is the only fellow poppy grower here that i remember, i'd like to know his opinion on this. i personally agree that it's more like weed when you smoke it vs eating it or drinking it. it's just smoother and more euphoric to me, but to each their own. some people prefer ingesting it.. it's a lot safer to smoke it, as well -

The only "interesting" aspect of marijuana is what it does for immersion and stimuli appreciation, like it would make me feel like I'm inside a game, does smoking opiates do that? -

But smoking opium for me was not as psychedelic as weed is, but now looking back I think every time I used it I was also smoking pot. It goes very nicely with marijuana or a couple beers. I'd say it's like the chillness of a few beers and some weed taken up a notch, it's not like an OMG i'm so fucked up kind of high, it's just relaxing, feels good, and smells and tastes very nice too. It's way more mellow than weed is too.
I want a drug that will give me the euphoria of alcohol but coupled with that effect from weed that makes music sound like It's in your head and video games feel like your mind has been transported into them.
I don't really remember much but back in 2013 - 2014 before virtual reality was commercially available I got the oculus developer kit and would use that with weed, it was a very transcendent experience. -

never mixed with alcohol but that makes sense. it is the warmest, coziest, softest euphoria.. blowing out a large cloud of opium smoke is heavenly. like any opiate though it'll mess with your digestive tract and make you constipated.
hiki is probably too retarded to use it and not get addicted though -

Like Red said earlier there is zero edge and it makes you extremely relaxed.
A little bit of it can last you quite a while too.
I use to get it from this "party boy" who would come from Chicago once a month with loads of fun drugs that were not common to find in Dayton.
He mainly hung around the college scene and I have no recollection of how I met the guy.
He sold X and opium and I think he had LSD.
I can't remember what all he had/could bring because all I ever bought was opium from him.
I wasn't very much interested in partying.
I liked to relax and it does that completely in ways nothing else really quite does.
I remember asking him if he could get heroin for me once and he came with black tar heroin which I did not want at all.
He didn't know there were different types of heroin.
It was so fucking gooey and I asked him "how the fuck am I going to shoot this up?"
I lost contact with the guy and his spray painted gold shoes. -

i dunno, i grew the regular wild purple opium poppies from a reputable vendor on my first try, and with only 3 smallish indoor(partly outdoor) plants, i filled(partly filled up) up a pyrex baking dish the kind you'd make brownies with. i was scraping it up with a razor blade and smoking it for months before throwing it away because it was too addictive.
depends on your tolerance and the strain. a couple plants can last me a long time. the potency is pretty wild with the purple ones, the white ones are more consistent and higher yielding even if not always as potent. they're also way easier to start and have a much better germination rate, being a cultigen.
i never processed it either, just dried it and smoked it. if you process it you're more likely to get addicted cause that'll increase the potency -
