2021-01-26 at 1:55 AM UTCive been thinking alot about whether kindness and specifically loving kindness to use a Buddhist term, is hardwired into our brains and whether it has to be "tapped into" or developed or shown to be used by the host. Pretty vague concept I know but it's worth a thought if hoping for anything altruistic on a large scale

Humans have not genetically changed significantly in the last 200K yearsish, but our morals, standards and expectations of kindness, behavioural norms etc have all changed radically countless times. So while it might be hardwired in a sense, it's not necessarily because of your genetics or basic neuroanatomy.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -
