Question for those who speak English as a second language, or even as a first language: how do you think? What is the language of your inner mind? Particularly in languages with different ways of structuring sentences, do you think one way and then have to actively translate your thoughts when talking or writing in English? When you post here, do you first think your thoughts and then make an active attempt in posting in English, or does it just happen?

I know a little bit about Spanish, but I really only know English, which is why I ask.

As for me, I would probably choose Mandarin.

It's basically Spanish with "sh" insted "s" when it's not the beginning of the word and words that begin with "R" get a weird europeaneasque "CH" sounding "H" kinda thing.

    No problemo.

Sorry for ignoring the question. I've adjusted so much that I often think in English. It's also depending on context. When I play basketball I think English exclusively but when I go fishing I don't.

It’s tempting to pick some ancient extinct language like Sumerian or Egyptian but I’d probably pick Japanese. It’s hard to learn and I would probably get more use out of it than any other language that I haven’t already studied.

When I'm speaking or writing in English, I think in English. It's a pretty shitty language tbh though. Too many words. Just say: "I go market" rather than "I AM going TO THE market". Damn little words, you don't need them.

Also, I find it weird things aren't gendered in English like they are in other languages. In Russian, people always bitch about how tough our grammar is, but it's not that complex. I think it just adds more personality to the language and enables you to state what's on your mind better.

Chinese would certainly be the most useful, but Japanese would be the most fun and expand your world of weeabooism.

as a speaker/writer of english as an entertainment language (which I have no actual use for it irl) .... i cant speak or write in english, much less think in english, but my alter ego, benny vader, does. and he does that natively, on a hardware level.

and when he took ooff i'm left confused and retarded.

once we get to understand each other perfectly, most likely thru google .... Gott is going to be very angry and He's going to come down and do things ..... terrible, terrible things .....

ps : is there more than One God when He said Us in 6 ???????

Chinese. Assuming I'd be able to write it and have an actual understanding of the language as if I'd learned it. It'd probably make it easier to learn other east asian languages too.

PEOPLE WHO SAYS THEIR INTENDING TO REALLY LEARN CHINESE ARE TRULY RETARDED. CHINESE IS AS DIVERSE AS ALL THE NATIONS IN EUROPE COMBINED. CHINA IS WHAT THE 3RD REICH WOULD BE HAD HITLER SUCCEEDED.

THEIR LIKE A DOZEN OF DIFFERENT CHINESES AVAILABLE FOR SPEAK, SO WHICH CHENISE YOU INTEND TO LEARN ?????

I'VE SEEN ASSHOLES THAT HAD LEARN CHINESE AND CAME HERE AND THINKING THAT THEY'D ARMED THEMSELVES WITH ''CHINESE'', TRY TO CONVERSE WITH ME. I'D NORMALLY REPLY WITH A DIFFERENT KIND OF CHINESE UPON HEARING THESE ASSHOLES AS AN INDICATION THAT THEIR CHINESE DONT WORK IN THIS PART OF CHINESE PLACE.

YOUR CHINESE IS NO GOOD HERE.
