For one subtitles are always a reinterpretation of the original dialog not a proper translation and two there is the difference in grammar.

I stand corrected. the one part of CC was a dumb thing to say. but you can learn from children cartoons like say a Japanese version of Seasame Street when Starting out.

It's pretty common to watch kids shows and listen to kid's songs when learning a language. Every language class I've ever been in, from 6th grade through college, has done this. I can sing Mo Li Hua by heart and tell you my favorite episode of Peppa Pig is episode 42 "When Daddy gets fit" -

but serious question §m£ÂgØL have you used the duolingo app? like as a way to get started learning a new language? my friend recommended it to me and I tried out trying to learn french but I didn't like the adds so I deleted it but evidently you have to watch the adds to keep the lesson going and he thinks its worth it as a beginner. -
