Maybe he can send us a breathy vocaroo message in japanese cursing us.

I bet it's all anime words and I understand most of it despite never studying japanese just because I used to watch the sub of dragonball kai.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

Like, for me if I hear a Japanese word I recognize it but then translate it from English, this makes it impossible to watch anime and keep up with the dialog.
How do you train yourself to think in the language?

Talk to people. After a certain point you begin to think in a different language instead of having to translate it in your head. But that just comes from use and practice. Don't be one of those idiots that just watches anime and thinks that's an accurate representation of how people speak. The good thing about learning Japanese though is that their media industry is booming and there's tons of shit to watch that's actually good and will help you learn the language.

Japanese is really grammatically simple for basic stuff, plus it's a pitch language with incredibly similar sounds to English. I think English shares something like 80% of the same sounds as Japanese. If you try to learn Chinese or a slavic language you'll find a ton of sounds that you'll have to get used to making. I stopped learning Polish because of that shit. It's hard without a teacher.

Seriously try HelloTalk or find a pen pal online to talk with. Develop a relationship to the point you can video chat with them. This is pretty much exclusively what I use Skype for. The conversational interaction is FAR more important than the book smarts you get from studying and practicing flash cards and shit. Seriously, find a Japanese person who wants to practice English. The internet is great for this. Learning languages has never been easier in all of human history. Monolingual people are wasting their lives by not learning at least one other language.

you need to be way better socialized than you are. I've heard you talk, there is a lag in your speech pattern because you are so autistic. Think faster and be a better person. Best answer I can give you

    multilinguists are antichrists.

6And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. 10T

Pauses are normal when speaking. People who talk in a steady stream of consciousness usually don't think about what they say.

    HOWEVER.

You've uploaded yourself talking already. Your pauses are not just normal pauses. Your pauses sound like a speech disorder and are difficult to listen to.

It's just me pausing to think of what to say.
I don't have a speech disorder or pause during speech like you ばか think I do.

Little girl, rather than flex your 32 word JP vocabulary that you learned by watching anime and copy pasting from google here on NIS, perhaps going to a Japanese forum would be much more worthwhile.

Not really a good place to study symbol based languages...

Like I said, Hellotalk. Find a partner to have video chats with. Learn how to actually speak with proper pronunciation and grammar. It's way easier than trying to learn through literacy. Humans are built to understand other languages through osmosis.

The Japs seem fine chatting away using it...Hiki claims to have been studying Japanese since he was 15...so for 15yrs or more...more than enough time to be fluent in both reading, writing and speaking.

I'm guessing though a 3yr old Jap kid is more proficient than hiki.

Wow, yet again you completely miss the mark and just post whatever is swirling around in your own head.

No dude, forums are not the place to begin to learn a symbol based language. Get over your social anxiety and talk to real people
