There are a lot of rich people with sprawling houses. There are beautiful views and scenic beaches, but just like any other place where brown people are the majority, there's a crime problem. Meth is everywhere, they can't get enough of that shit over here. It's a lot more expensive though because there are very few cook houses and most of it is brought over from the continental United States, Mexico, the usual hot spots.
Fishing, surfing, and diving are big here. Fishermen sell their catches to the big restaurants and hotels and then usually spend the profits on meth. The Hawaiians hold a lot of power, and if the locals don't like you you're gonna have a bad time.
There are 3 cities on this island and these places have the usual amenities you'd find on the mainland such as big box stores, fast food restaurants, malls. I live in the countryside, surrounded by a few small towns. There's a beach town called Paia, home to a lot of ritzy little boutiques, surf shops, a few bars, and fancy restaurants. I spend a lot of time walking around Paia scoping out chicks and dicks.
The police are Corrupt. They basically do whatever the hell they want. They actually bring most of our speed here. They'll bust a big dealer or something, confiscate his stash and resell it. Or they'll put the squeeze on them and threaten to perform a bust unless they get a cut of the action. People go missing all of the time because they witnessed a cop doing something shady. A friend of a friend of my mother's got chased off a cliff by the Maui PD after he saw them drag a witness out into the cane grass fields to kill him. -
