Wow you are incredibly, tremendously fucking stupid. That article focuses specifically on CO2 for a reason. That is not what 'greenhouse' gasses are. It's not just C02. Like, for instance, humans don't excrete large amounts of carbonmonoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, formaldehyde, benzenes, etc... You cannot possibly think that HUMAN BREATH is more toxic than a car.
Never mind that the comparison is hilariously fucked. How many miles do people walk to work vs drive to work do you think? Average looks to be about 26 miles of driving to work. People don't walk 26 miles to work. -

Even in a place like the UK with very energy intensive diets based heavily on industrial meat and dairy, their analysis suggests that walking 1km vs driving would reduce CO2 emissions by ~40-90%. In less developed countries the reduction will be even larger on average.
It also doesn't account for emissions while idling, which are considerable if one commutes through cities with many intersections or lives in an area with cold winters that require a vehicle to warm up for several minutes before driving.
tl;dr if you're a fag then go vegan and get a bicycle, if not then eating steak and walking is still better than driving.

Did they teach you nothing but raw facts in school? Maybe in math, but anything else requires a degree of interpretation which is open to bias or outright falsehood.

Admittedly, I did graduate from high school nearly 20 years ago, and in Canada.
America (and maybe other countries) might be teaching straight up lies.
But once I hit university, they essentially train you to think critically and to be able to refute everything you read.
I wouldn't necessarily expect the same experience in every single major there is... (I.e. sociology, gender studies, etc), but what I did learn at the end of it all was that science is meant to be approached with skepticism.
History too, kind of, but if you even question anything when it comes to the Holocaust or slavery, you'll probably end up ostracised by your colleagues.
Other than those two hot button issues, skepticism is actually encouraged in uni, and at least somewhat in high school too even.
Again, that's in Canada, and 20 years ago. So I admit I can't confirm it first hand regarding contemporary America. -

perfect example: i had a real-world discussion the other day with a 20-something commie-pinko about trump and why he thinks trump hates women, is racist, and is a terrible president. when i presented him with facts that contradicted the only info he had…which was what the media told him to think…he couldnt continue to debate and changed the subject.
Even if every Ivy League school was somehow personally circumcised and had a Bar Mitzvah, that doesn't render their facts automatically wrong.
