dunno if that interests you but I didn't know half those parts existed, or why they exist
Big advancements in bikes. kind of takes some of the cardio out when it auto transitions into another gear but you can look at it as less stress of repetitive torking which can cause injuries. Most P.T. I have had suggested a stationary bike with magnets over a real bike. people tear muscles as they get older because they changed gears to a higher setting and it jolts a bit and can cause damage.
but people love the outdoors. if you can make a stationary bike create artifical tork with magnetic settings, one would think you could turn gears to a back sprocket of a wheel and have movement and a smoother ride.
some people put engines on their bikes. not the old gas ones but newer electric when they're too tired and take a break while getting distance. newer and newer inverters I guess are able to get more power from the battery. breaking can recharge batteries just as much as turning gears and making them like a turbine.. but you lose more than you gain.
Something to do with the SINE wave inverters working more efficient that you can go from maybe half an hour on a battery to a few hours if you just wanted to ride it like an electric bike.
its nice to have options. especially if you injure you foot or leg while riding on a trail. too far to get medical attention. you have an electric bike to get you out. -

You moved to Alaska? are you buying land up there to be a new pioneer?
It's funny how just a few years ago I thought about it and saw others actually making this apart of their life. Off Grid in Alaska. and I know there is a popular show of it. But now shitloads of people are heading for Alaska to build cabins in the wild.
Watch out for Grizzlies. -

yeah electric bikes are cool, I've considered building one in the past.
What I'm talking about specifically though is there's a wireless electronic gear shifter system - you have a shifter on the handle which communicates with the actual gearbox unit over bluetooth, and the battery itself even has a bluetooth module I guess to advertise battery status? I dunno

No but there are these blacktailed magpies that fly around there everywhere that are fucking adorable and I'm trying to figure out how to get them here in ND. I learned they're in SD but I need them here -
