He had a pneumonia. Covid usually manifests itself as pneumonia. My doc told him he needed to go to the ER for treatment.
I was in the room when he called his daughter on speaker, trying to figure out if her and her husband would pick him up and take him, or if they wanted to meet him at the hospital.
His daughter sounded like a completely uninformed Fox News idiot. When he told her, she said, “I’ll have to wear a mask now.” She then went on to say, “they won’t give you hydroxychloriquine, you need hydroxychloriquine.” I spoke up and said, “sir there are many treatments they are using for Covid, hydroxychloriquine is not recommended for use.” She then immediately said, “they’re going to put you on a ventilator.” I said “sir that is not true, only the really bad cases go on a vent.” He told his daughter, “you have your opinions.” Her husband immediately took over the conversation and told the man they’d pick him up at his house.
