In a lot of those lower class schools you can just slide by pretty easily since a good fifth or more of your class isn't graduating anyway. They care more about having people graduate and looking good to the district than they do about the individual's education. I was raised poor and by a single mother, but she worked three jobs (count them, three) to be able to pay for me to go to private school. Now I pay her rent and give her a stipend so that she got the chance to retire at 60.

I may have not had the best of the worst education, but i see some of my mother and father in this woman. If they would have quit being shitheads for a couple years I would have gone through technical school and would be supporting them with a decent job instead of working full time retail while supporting my mother.

it teaches people to lie and cheat and steal and bullshit to solve your problems
my math class has a group chat that everyone cheats on the homework in.... they literally send the whole paper with answers and everything
