The 90s had totse, erowid, bluelight, rotten, a zillion newsgroups, etc.
Nowadays it's all controlled and about money and making you feel bad.

Everything has always been about money. The internet just took some time to properly sell out.

Even 10 years ago, around 2010 the internet was still really free. Even sites like google, twitter and facebook. You were free, and could even go a bit wild. It was what built those sites.

On the sites you mentioned, you were never intended to be merely a user. You were intended to be the product.

the decentralization and freedom has been eroded over time. Net Neutrality was an important component of that. Now everyone has an agenda and is acting on behalf of others instead of being their weird old selves and sharing their ideas with the world. Fuck everything

The internet is still that, just not on "platforms". Don't expect a free speech experience on the servers of huge tech companies like google/twitch/youtube/reddit/twitter etc.

Therefore facebook considers it a good business decision to engage in censorship.
LOL You have bitten are and are hooked. Why is it that only conservitive viewpoints are censored? Are you saying that only conservatives have 'extremist' opinions? You can report Hamas on facebook and nothing happens. But say the wrong thing about a BLM or anything not supporting it and BAM! Down comes the hammer.

Bullshit, they censor all sorts of things that are popular and that make them money, like Alex Jones or Molyneux. The "oh it's just money, these rich jedis only care about money" argument is pure horseshit - maybe Anglos genuinely only care about money, but jedis are way smarter than that.

Did they criticise Israel or something?
