Can't ping another device on my network, even with firewall turned off

yeah yeah forget those parts, I was still trying to ascertain facts by visiting a website I was hosting locally, and then half way through realized that pings weren't even working. -

when I try and curl the site on my phone though, it times out.

Public as in you had no password on it? Or it just got selected as 'public network' by windows network manager. Also IDK why you ignored my earlier post. Nmap is a great tool, i even offered to interpret the results for you. I set it to a service scan and to tell you why something would or wouldn't be reachable through the scan. It launches a TCP SYN scan with -sS but if you add the U you get UDP too but you should add a -T5 flag then too because it will take a long time. So TCP and UDP is -sSU, -T5 means 'go fast'. The -Pn flag doesn't send out ICMP because most services don't use it and it treats the host as up even if it doesn't respond to pings. -

Just admit you're not smart Larry. You're not even really dumb, just probably a bit below average. I don't know why why this is so upsetting for you to confront - at a certain age you need to realize what your weaknesses are and stop trying to pretend they're your strengths.
