exactly. americans still cant control weathers.and the starvation of the 'grape depression' was due to lack of cash, not lack of available resources.
again, excatly. just because the USA is major producer of foodstuff doesnt guarantee its population will always have full stomicks.
too much money or to few to go around will fuck things up. outbreak of pandemics will fuck things up.
americans will fuck themselves up. -

2020-08-29 at 1:39 PM UTCHurricanes, fires, floods and locusts: Science says climate change is here but the RNC refuses to believe:
https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/28/weather/rapid-fire-disasters-in-coronavirus-pandemic-weir-wxc/index.html
In 2020, we have giant swarms of locusts from East Africa to India, 500-year floods in Europe, fears of a dam collapse in China and Typhoon Bavi hitting the Korean Peninsula. In the US alone there is the record-smashing hurricane in the South, a million-acre "gigafire" in the West and over 40% of Iowa corn and soybeans flattened by 140 mph winds.
Complicating the mounting task of saving lives and livelihoods in this ongoing climate crisis: a new disease, released from a natural world out of balance. -

2020-08-29 at 1:57 PM UTCI really wish that these people didn't take all the problems that the world is facing and take them hostage.
Like how climate change has gotten rebranded to "climate justice".
"Oh, the weather is changing, therefore you need to do all these things we want you to do that won't even help. Cos the chemical balance of the atmosphere of planet earth really cares about asylum seekers and gay rights. " -

Opinion backed up with no facts or data. "Many studies" without citing them.Nor does the fact that it has been warmer in the past mean that future warming is nothing to worry about.
Opinion. The sea level has been tens of metres higher during past warm periods, enough to submerge most major cities around the world
Fact.
so this is the best you got?Neither of these have a resolution of 20 years.
Then what is it?No it isn't, it's pretty basic reasoning and climate science that you're not able to wrap your head around because it is shoved 400m up your ass, drill for shit cores to analyze for long term data.
"No it isnt" does not refute the long term record, you have not provided any data to the contrary. -

2020 is a Warning That Our Civilization is Beginning to Fall Apart
Some Ages Have World Wars. Others Have Moonshots. Our Great Challenge is Preventing the Collapse of Civilization.
You can tell me that you don’t feel it. But I think you do. Your gut knows that things are going badly, badly wrong. Pandemic, depression, authoritarianism, Arctic melting, fires burning. You might have an inkling by now that we’re living at the beginning of an age of catastrophe. Three to five decades of calamity are now before us. Your brain disputes it — it’s doing what it does, extrapolating forward on the basis of past experience. But that’s no good now. The old world is gone. The new one is here to stay: the one we’re living in now, where nothing seems right, everything’s gone topsy-turvy and chaos, uncertainty, and anxiety reign. Your gut is right, and your brain is wrong. You can see the end of our civilization from here, if you look, writ large in fire, flood, plague, drought, famine, poverty, despair. -
2020-08-29 at 6:58 PM UTCThis is nothing. We haven't even gotten to the thousands of hungry aliens finally landing and eating humans en-masse part yet.
