Yes, plus the Nazis brought it right home to who was writing that shit - such as the jedi Magnus Hirschfeld, who did the exact same shit (forced sex changes, etc) that the epidemiologist Josef Mengele was later accused of, with no evidence, and who has only recently been exonerated. Accusing your enemies of doing the shit you yourself do. Couldn't make it up.
