You never really own your home, don’t pay the taxes and boom! Some rich motherfucker comes along and pays the taxes for you and if you want to keep the house you have to pay him/her with interest.

Don’t let fear rule your life. There is enough data available that you can research trends and see which direction your city is growing. Try to be just outside that growth but in the path of it so that your house is not overvalued and has good potential to appreciate.

Also, general tip, don’t buy the most expensive house on the block. It is harder to sell the most expensive house in the neighborhood. You want to be next to that house so it, along with good comps in the neighborhood, will drive up the value of your house.

You don’t have to be rich to buy a foreclosure with a tax lien.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

    Or I have noisy neighours?

Maybe I'd buy a rural property.

A rural property would be good, if I keep managing to work from home.

Quiet and fairly safe from scumbags. Plus, well eventually be in the blast radius of a white flight zone, which will push the prices up long term.

Nah man the pakis are getting wise to that they like to send in one or two families to scout the place and then when it's clear they ship a few more and buy a farm. Next thing you know Fred and Ilene are selling the gas station to the Gurjats and your kids new friend at school is named Mohammed. Then there will come a day when you notice you are the only white person on the streets and the only white people you see are the occasional one passing by in a vehicle.
