you must be pretty starved for attention if two words totalling less than a dozen letters could catch yours.

I really liked The Expanse. As an aside Drummer is the only 'badass' female character that I can think of recently that was really interesting and didn't seem forced

Yeah the Belter girl that's the second in command at Tyco Station. She's dope. As an aside, regardless of the obvious intersectional influence that casted the characters as they are. It didn't really detract from the story in my opinion. the show was generally well written and it wasn't that hard to suspend my disbelief with regards to the kinds of people in the cast. I mean, it's in the rlatively near future and if we don't have Race Wars before we get to that time period it's not hard to imagine the 'diversity' of everyone in the system. What i liked was that they basically made The Belters out to be 2nd class citizens regardless of race. It was more to do with the fact they were born and raised in The Belt and Belter culture, you know?

also that scene where she summarily executed the two guys who shot at her while the medics were trying to patch them up gave me a boner.

Yeah the 'diversity' didn't seem forced; the castes made them seem like actual cohesive groups rather than a checklist of colours. I didn't like Holden at first but he developed as a character, and I still don't like that negress but that's probably down to me being annoyed by that type of person than her being a bad character

Holden's slampig? Yeah, well she is OPA. Radical revolutionaries rub me the wrong way as well. Plus i have Earth bias. If i were running the Luna/Earth governing authority, i'd force The Belt to not trade with Mars, in exchange Earth would supply all the water they need and military support against Martian aggression. I'd blockade Mars with the UN fleet and make them submit in a siege like fashion. If they'd decide to fire a super nuke, i'd launch all UN super nukes at Mars to obliterate them. Luna/Earth has those mass driver/guass cannons orbital defense things anyway, shoot as much of the Martian counter barrage to smithereens. Luna/Earth has more than 30 billion people anyway, we can afford to lose a continent. However, Mars is smaller and less populated, they will not recover from an all out nuclear offensive. So it's either that or they will submit, to the rightful governing Authority of Earth. Their success was built off the work Earth settlers did, years before they got big ideas of independence. By right they owe us their allegiance. If they cooperate, we could even help them Terraform Mars, and again supply all the water they need. Well, not all of it. We should probably just melt one of Jupiter or Saturn's ice moons for them. More than enough water for them there. But we could supply them while they transition to that. Earth is the Homeworld, Earth gave them everything, they are petulant children and should respect the headstart we gave them and our rightful authority over the entire system.
