At minimum. Most of the time it is closer to 100%, as it is trapping large droplets and particulates.
It will keep most of your disgusting viruses and saliva inside your mask and release less than 5% (at MAXIMUM) particles into the environment, dramatically reducing the risk of transmission to near nothing. -

You're not shooting out raw Coronavirus, it rides water droplets because that is the environment of your lungs. Breathe on a glass, it will fog up. That's the moisture in your breath. Try it with an N95, it won't fog up no matter how hard you exhale at it. Go test it empirically. Even try it with a cloth mask.
Try blowing out a candle, then try to blow it out with even a cloth mask, you can't. It helps to break the momentum so the virus doesn't spread and usually just sinks to the ground. Go test it empirically.
Masks help prevent the spread of the virus. Go and lick public doorhandles, idiot. -

thats not how they're rated.
are you going to tell us that N100 masks filtér out at a minimum of 100% and most of the time they're actually enhancementing closer to 110% ?It will keep most of your disgusting viruses and saliva inside your mask and release less than 5% (at MAXIMUM) particles into the environment, dramatically reducing the risk of transmission to near nothing.
not those with blow holes. -

Liar. N95 masks have to be custom fit to the wearer's face. You can't just go out and buy a N95 mask and expect it to just work. Plus, the moment you touch that mask, your hand is infected, and when you reach into your pocket after touching the mask, your pocket is now infected. If you pull the mask down, your neck is now infected. If you take the mask off and put it in your car, your car is now infected. The mask has to be disposed of immediately after one use. Do you really think anyone is going to pay any attention at all to any of that? -

Literally never once said that they were rated by their name, moron. It is just a fact about the mask.
not those with blow holes.
Yeah large holes in a mask are holes, in a mask. Ultra shitty masks that are trying to be "cool" and utterly missing the point. -
2020-07-11 at 5:04 PM UTCA typical atom is anywhere from 0.1 to 0.5 nanometers in diameter.

pls conssult wikipedia on why n95s are called n95s.Yeah large holes in a mask are holes, in a mask. Ultra shitty masks that are trying to be "cool" and utterly missing the point.
pls consult an industrial ppe catalogue.

2020-07-11 at 5:14 PM UTCIt's like, if you build a car garage the size of an airplane hanger, do you think your car will fit in there? That's how stupid wearing a mask is. These virus particles are contained inside the vapor of every breath you expel, so you would literally have to STOP BREATHING for the virus not to easily pass through the mask. If the vapor cloud exits through the side of the mask, or the bottom of the mask, or is slowed down, is immaterial. ANY breath that gets through the mask has the virus particles in it, and a vapor cloud from your breath can linger up to 10's of minutes in place, and can even become mobile with a slight breeze or air movement. That's the real science. Slowing down or limiting the vapor cloud won't change anything. If it gets through the mask in any way, shape or form, and it will, the particles will be all around the area to infect.

the only type of mask thats effective are made out of non porous materials like plastic bags. -

2020-07-11 at 5:20 PM UTCAnd the two-meter rule is BS, too. This virus vapor cloud can shift up to 14 feet or more.
