The middle east and even rome/greece were a lot darker back then due to centuries of heavy African migration. Jesus (if he existed) was most definitely pretty dark. This image of Jesus is based on how the average Israelite looked back then.

Again, that theory is based on Human DNA traits...Jesus wasn't human...he was the son of god and as such could be any color god chose him to be...
