Trump knew since March 2019 that Russia was paying Afghani terrorists to kill US soldiers

Yeah I guess paying for kills isn't paying them. They'd simply pay them instead.

The only people who deny this are the Whitehouse, the Taliban, and Russia. Hmmm.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/30/us/politics/russian-bounties-afghanistan-intelligence.html

Not like members of the Senate have come forward after their briefing or anything. Nope, can't possibly be the case.

Not like there's an investigation on it...

Investigators are said to be focused on at least two deadly attacks on American soldiers in Afghanistan. One is an April 2019 bombing outside Bagram Air Base that killed three Marines: Staff Sgt. Christopher Slutman, 43, of Newark, Del.; Cpl. Robert A. Hendriks, 25, of Locust Valley, N.Y.; and Sgt. Benjamin S. Hines, 31, of York, Pa.

Not like it was published in the May 4 article in the C.I.A.’s World Intelligence Review

Forget the raid in Kunduz City in the north about six months ago where 13 people were arrested in a joint operation by American forces and the Afghan intelligence agency, the National Directorate of Security, according to Safiullah Amiry, the deputy provincial council chief there. Two of the main targets of the raid had already fled — one to Tajikistan and one to Russia, Mr. Amiry said — but it was in the Kabul home of one of them where security forces found a half-million dollars. He said the Afghan intelligence agency had told him the raids were related to Russian money being disbursed to militants.

Yeah... Russia and Trump, the Taliban, all totally innocent.

Yeah I guess you're right, a heirarchial military unit that actually needs to justify its costs would just throw money away because 'cash is king', yolo etc. You should really look into how the Russian military has operated since the modernisation project started in the mid-2000s for context.

Oh look another anonymous source. I'm convinced!

Yeah, I guess the CIA is an anonymous source. How will we ever trust the information if we don't know who the CIA is?

You have to do the full research from all sources. You leftist dummies never do that. You only blab about your severely limited knowledge and cherry pick from your severely lacking education.

You know what's really ironic? A statement from the DNI like this is what Hillary used as a basis for the '17 agencies agree' meme.

The DNI acts as a centralized desk for all of the US intelligence agencies, so when they say Trump was never informed, it must be the consensus of all of the intelligence agencies right?

Yeah because you know my ass loves Hilary and cannot stop talking about her. I believe everything Hilary Clinton says.

Hillary herself is irrelevant. You and Tech bought into the '17 agencies' meme then, why not now?

on the face of it though, the claim is dumb.

What would Russia have to gain by offering 'bounties' for US kills?

    1. The Taliban and pals are already targeting US forces.
    2. Trump's 'peace plan' failed before it even started and is now just being used as a fig leaf to save face while the military downsizes its operations.
    3. As it stands, Afghanistan is already a massive quagmire that's sucking US military capabilities away from more important (to Russian interests) fronts like Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Iran. Why would they want to disrupt the status quo?

It would've been more believable if they'd claimed that Russia was actively arming the Taliban (ie. improving their ability to inflict casualties and withstand occupation) or offering 'bounties' for US kills in countries that weren't active warzones (ie. forcing the US to spread its regional forces thinner).

As it stands, it just seems like an extension of the retarded 'Russiagate' narrative that's so obviously dumb that nobody is willing to put their name behind it. Not even John Bolton, the National Security Advisor at the time, who's been willing to severely damage US-South Korean relations just for a chance to call Trump a retard, has been willing to openly back the claims.
