   The short of it is that India tried to begin construction of an airbase in a contested area. Under normal circumstances this may have been handled differently, but India has a military treaty with the US that allows them to use each others' military bases and given the current level of relations between China and the US, it was too risky to 'wait and see'.

   Massive explosions around Tehran, no real information yet. No reports of missile or jet sightings, but it happened around 2AM so they would've been hard to spot.

    Also, since I bumped this thread anyway, Iraqi authorities have arrested 10-20 (official number not yet released) members of Khataib Hezbullah. They're accused of conducting the recent rocket attacks where they'd shoot rockets OVER the green zone/US embassy in order to disrupt their business and force everyone into bunkers every few hours without actually destroying anything.
    
    The other PMUs are demanding their release and threatening to storm the green zone as they believe the US pressured the Iraqi government into conducting the arrests.
