Legalize switchblades

2020-06-16 at 12:01 PM UTCMy Buck knife is a folding knife of reasonable size, the mechanism that holds the blade in place when it's opened is under a certain amount of tension when it is closed. Therefore i can just flick my wrist and it opens quite beautifully by the assisted force of the tension of the metal as it slots into the right configuration.
I don't think switchblades are illegal in my neck of the woods, they're just hard to find. I mean i can legally and without a license buy a crossbow with bolts that will skewer a boar, so. Switchblades, even the spring operated ones can't produce an amount of force that comes even close to that. Most weapons shops where i'm at just don't really tend to stock switchblades. -

So what? I can buy bullets at Walmart but switchblades are still illegal here.
Could easily get one if i wanted tho. They sell them at flea markets openly and nobody cares. Or i just can order it to an out of state of state friend. -

no spec was obviously lying about an OTF knife with a spring strong enough to dig it several inches into a piece of wood. Not only are they designed NOT to come out forcefully but that much power would break the delicate internal mechanisms -
